Safety Eyewear for Lasers & IPL Systems

Laser/IPL Eyewear

It is absolutely imperative that all users and patients of lasers and IPL systems wear the appropriate protective eyewear. We can supply you with the correct safety glasses fro your lasers and IPL systems.

Contact us for details - please have details of your lasre/IPL systems to hand before contacting us!

NEW!! These are the latest safety glasses for the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser - 1064nm ONLY!

These glasses have been designed to allow excellent visible transmission across the visible spectrum (400 to 700nm) while protecting at an optical density (OD) of 7+ at 1064nm - the fundamental wavelength of the Nd:YAG laser.

Please note, hoewver, that these glasses CANNOT be used
for the 532nm wavelength! We recommend that only the laser operator wears these glasses.

Unlike the usual safety glasses for this laser (see picture below) these new glasses utilise analmost transparent 'glass' which offers excellent viewing of tattoos.

These glasses (on right) are the standard laser safety glasses for the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser - they offer an OD of 7+ for both the 1064nm and 532nm wavelengths.

We recommend that patients/clients ALWAYS wear these glasses!!

We always recommend that there should only ever be two people in the clinical treatment room - the patient/client and the laser operator. This minimises any risk of ocular exposure.

This, therefore, requires that each centre offering treatment with a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser should have two pairs of the 'standard' safety glasses (with the orange glass) as an absolute minimum.

However, an added pair of the new glasses will give the operator better visual access to the treatment area while still givien full protection from the 1064nm wavelength.

For more information please contact us.

WARNING - It should be pointed out that many Chinese suppliers of laser and IPL equipment do not supply safety eyewear which complies with the above standards.

Hence, these products CANNOT be legally (or safely) used in any
